The Workers’ Psychological Support Service remains open to assist Queensland workers who have experienced a work-related psychological injury.

Our community response to the COVID-19 virus outbreak has forced many workplaces to change or close operations, while other workers are under increasing workload and psychological pressure.

Contact the WPSS through our normal channels or if you require immediate assistance contact Lifeline or Beyond Blue.

Beyond Blue also has useful resources on how to manage your mental well-being in the current crisis.

This independent, confidential and free service helps Queenslanders experiencing a work-related psychological injury to connect with the right community services.

The Workers’ Psychological Support Service began operating in February 2019.

It can also assist workers who may have developed a mental health issue arising from the impact of a physical workplace injury.

An experienced social worker will provide support and guidance, connecting people with the community services they need.

This might include housing assistance, counselling, financial advice or other services.

You can contact the Workers’ Psychological Support Service through the toll-free telephone number 1800 370 732 or via email at info@wpss.org.au

It is a free service available to all Queensland workers.
